I like this one better than the first too. The composition is much better.
Very much like the concept. I've seen it done with map pins: colored heads held in the bandaid by the holes, so I am glad you threw some neddles in too. The blood in this one looks very natural! It looked good in the other one, but was a bit bright in a few places. Also like the lighting here and how it makes your skin look rather dead. I'm sure someone will bitch about it, but I think the dead hand look is awesome.

Oh, and barely related, but something you should try because it is incredibly fun, speaking from experience. Possibly the only thing I still remember from the make-up FX class we had to take as part of level III theatre conservatory: get those clear bandaids that are water proof and smell funny and a a lot of map ( small heads) and dress maker's pins. fix the pins inside the bandaids and stick them to various exposed part of your body (I only ever did my shoulders and face). Cover up the bandaids with a mix of white and ivory make-up and you look like you have strange otherworldly spikes. Follow up with blood and various types of grey make-up to look dead. I never really did the blood thing, I just had a line of spikes down my shoulders and arms, and a triangular pattern around one of eyes (will hurt if you have eyebrows).
Um yeah, recipe for disaster if you're bored. Love the piece tho!

I considered doing it for real, but I needed my thumb for guitar - It'snot shopped either, one of my strange shots lol. It's just sewing needles stuck through a bandaid on both sides (kind of like they would come out of your finger) and one end has the loop for threading while the other has the point, making it look like one needle ^_^ - the rest are just map pins that have the end stuck under the bandaid, but it is some real blood (not all real though) from another rabbit my cat killed and the rest is fake
